May 03, 2018 I read on a forum that this command is supposed to 'Enable Serial port redirection Server 2012 R2 globally'. Didn't do a thing. Microsoft Corporation Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2.
Our RDS 2012 R2 farm consists of 1 RD Gateway/Web access server, 2 connection brokers (running in Highly Available mode), and 4 RD Session hosts. Our remoteapp is published to client machines using the remoteapp web address in the control panel in windows 7 and is currently working great.
Recently several clients machines require the COM port to be redirected to the RD session host server for specific applications needs.
We have setup a test collection with only 1 session host to test this feature. We have enabled the COM port redirection using the powershell command below.
Once it is enabled however all published remoteapps in the TestCollection fail to load on the client machines and receive the following error.

Any help or insight into this problem would be greatly appreciated.
